 Lionvest have been the exclusive UK agents for the award winning, Malaysian Ekowood range for over a decade. As the market has dipped and risen, changed and flourished, Ekowood has steadily kept pace, reinventing itself when needed, to keep in step with demands, changing trends and fashions.

A year ago, we overhauled our complete range by choosing to take on the brand new, innovative, 5G click system. This EKOLOC 5G range utilized an entirely new technology which allows locking to be automatically obtained during folding. The flexible tongue enables installation in one easy and single action. This benefits the installer by reducing installation manpower AND requiring far less time for each fitting. The tongue bends and locks into place when snapped together. The locking is instant and occurs automatically with a *click* when the panel is folded down. Ekowood and Valinge have signed a global agreement to give the right to produce and market the 5G range as an original and exclusive product.

The 5G range has been exceptionally well received amongst our customers. The quality of the product and the incredibly effective and user friendly fitting system seems to have created a following of real loyalty, and volumes have sky rocketed! Subsequently we have now, in early 2012, just a year on, doubled our stocks and matched this with a huge increase in sales across the range!

Customers are enjoying the choice between 1 strip plank (136mm width) and 3 Strip (195mm) construction. Sales are increasing across the range of species, which takes in all the traditional favourites, Oak, Walnut, Maple and Merbau…. and now includes some beautiful products in Cherry, Kempas, steamed Beech and Iroko which are also proving popular.

Lionvest are proud to announce that they have now completed the application process and been approved to hold FSC Chain of Custody certification. This exciting new step has been bourne from an increasing trend in the marketplace, to demand certified flooring for many major projects, especially those in the public sector.

We like to think of ourselves as a forward thinking company, and, whilst we have been purchasing flooring from factories that are, themselves, FSC certified, for a number of years, without actually holding Chain of Custody ourselves, we have not been able to sell on as certified, limiting the worth of purchasing from such responsible sources.

As of October 26^th 2010, Lionvest will now be offering our customers, current and new alike, the opportunity to purchase FSC flooring from us, alongside the current Non FSC lines. Our FSC lines will include some of the most popularly specified solid flooring products, our award winning engineered Ekowood range and a variety of newly developed engineered lines in a variety of species.

We will welcome FSC certified enquiries and will, as usual, be pleased to source to any requirements, but will also, from January 2011 be carrying FSC certified stock. Please enquire for further details. Lionvest – FSC C044122.

The EKOLOC G5 range utilizes an entirely new technology which allows locking to be automatically obtained during folding. The flexiable tongue enables installation in one easy and single action. This benefits the installer by reducing installation manpower AND requiring far less time for each fitting. The tongue bends and locks into place when snapped together. The locking is instant and occurs automatically with a *click* when the panel is folded down.

The bristle tongue is designed with a rigid outer part and several flexiable inner protrusions that creates a prelocking tension. This feature is used to obtain a strong lock and to overcome any production tolerances. The floor, with this profile, can be very easily disassembled, which enables replacement of any boards simply and cleanly. This is suitable as a Floating or Glue Down system.

Ekowood and Valinge have signed a global agreement to give the right to produce and market the G5 range as an original and exclusive product.

Lionvest’s Terracotta Army! Lined up and ready to attack the Flooring marketplace!

We are extremely proud that our ‘Zamorra’ engineered range, truly goes from strength in a hugely competitive marketplace. The range has evolved over the last few years to be able to offer our customers a diverse collection of finishes, specifications and grades.

One huge attraction, that we have consistently positive feedback on, is the consistency of quality control, presentation of the pallets and uniformity from shipment to shipment. We like to think this is partly because of the long standing and close relationship we have with the ‘Zamorra’ factory, and also the hunger that every link of the ‘Zamorra’ chain has, to genuinely value continued business with current customers.

‘Zamorra’ is now available in T&G & Clic profiles, Oak, Maple and Walnut species, four grades and over ten different finishes throughout the range. Our new informative brochure is available upon request.
